Come share your thoughts about the Oak Knoll development at a community meeting about the project to be held Monday.
The details of the event are:
6:30pm, March 20
St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church,
3700 Dorisa Ave, Oakland.
Representatives from the site’s developer, SunCal, as well as Councilman Larry Reid, will be on hand to answer questions and hear concerns about the project.
As previously reported by this outlet, SunCal is planning to build 955 homes on the site of the former Oak Knoll Naval Hospital in the Oakland Hills. The developer currently has no plans to build affordable housing on the site, nor use union labor to construct it.
When we asked you in a Survey Monkey poll two weeks ago if SunCal should include affordable housing on the old naval hospital property, 28 out of 30 you stated that it should.
